A blend only made in the best years; last made in 2012. In this 2016 version, it is amazing how much influence 8% of Malbec has on the blend – especially on the nose! The lovely herbal nuances of thyme summer savory greet the first sniff, followed by black pepper from the Syrah and ripe dark fruits from the Cabernet Sauvignon. Flavours of anise and chocolate and cracked pepper abound. The finish is long and powerful with strong tannin support.
Aged in French and American oak barrels for 21 months.
