2020 Red-Tail’s Landing Reserve Cabernet Syrah

With the exceptional quality of the 2020 vintage, we knew that it was time to bring back our Cabernet Syrah blend. This dark ruby wine has powerful aromas of white pepper, black currant, anise and dark plum. With subtle hints of blackberry and graphite, this wine has ample depth and powerful tannins that are best suited for pairing with rich grilled meats. This bolt and juicy Cabernet Syrah once again proves how well these two grape varieties complement each other. This deep ruby-coloured wine is truly a great example of cooler climate Syrah.

Both varietals were separately cold-soaked before fermentation and fermented at warm temperatures to extract optimum flavours. Pump-overs were performed twice daily to promote gentle extraction of tannin and colour from the skins. Aged in 2nd and 3rd fill French and American Oak for up to 20 months.
